About Catherine

Catherine Dimalla

Catherine of Soft Science is an award-winning, multidisciplinary designer from the Northwest working across all manner of substrates, screens, and surfaces. She translates otherwise abstract principles and values into meaningful and tangible aesthetic experiences. Catherine's repertoire includes publication design, environmental design, and the art of designing for traditional and historical printing methods. She is also the founder and designer of Piquant, an online journal with writers nationwide, that showcases the crossroads of the food and design industries. Her life, exclusive of design, includes a love of travel, yoga, food, color, and a current fixation with crayons.
