It’s Wikipedia’s 15th birthday! This year we’re celebrating 15 years of free and open knowledge—learning, discovery, and joy for people on every continent. In place of a single image to celebrate Wikipedia’s birthday, we’ve designed a whole set. From science to aviation to ancient history, here’s a few favorites. On shirts, of course.
llamas like to wrestle
The llama (/ˈlɑːmə/; Spanish: [ˈʝama] locally: [ˈʎama] or [ˈʒama]) Scientific name, Lama glama. They are very social animals and live with other llamas as a herd. The wool produced by a llama is very soft and lanolin-free. Llamas are intelligent and can learn simple tasks after a few repetitions. A llama's social rank in a herd is never static. They can always move up or down in the social ladder by picking small fights. Their fights are visually dramatic, with spitting, ramming each other with their chests, neck wrestling and kicking, mainly to knock the other off balance.
